If you use the "Scan from cover" feature, a photo of the book cover is sent to Google's Gemini API to extract title, author, and description. That image is processed according to Google's privacy practices. We do not permanently store the image after processing unless you save the book (in which case only the extracted text and any cover image you upload are stored in our systems).
We may receive generic technical information (e.g. device type, OS version) to support stability and compatibility. We do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising.

Account and library data are stored in secure, access-controlled systems (Supabase). Cover images may be stored in Firebase Storage. We use industry-standard practices to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account and library data for as long as your account is active. After you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal or safety reasons.
The Curated Book Coves is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
